Geocaching ACTUALLY Started Here! - Jackson Hole, Wyoming

Cache in hand
Up to his britches to get the cache.
Thursday, 21 June 2012 -- OUR VERY FIRST CACHE!  Snow King with a View - And what an awesome view it was! We debated whether we should walk up or just take the ski lift.  Yeah, right.  Ski lift it is!  Turns out I was going to have that unpleasant task later on in the week (see High School Butte) so it was better I didn't walk up.  I just want my heart exploding or anything.  Since it was our very first cache we really didn't know what to expect or how to find it.  It took much longer than it would just about anybody else, but we found it!  We really wanted to take the Honey Badger tracker bug, but we didn't have one with us to drop off so we took the leopard puzzle and left a very nice Grand Teton patch.

Wanted the Honey Badger TB but didn't have one to leave :(
Later we got an email from the family who placed this cache asking us if we took the travel bug.  Now I wish we had!  :(  This was definitely one of the best caches we've found so far.  Lots of great swag in it and not a lot of junk (yet).  Give it time.  Other geocachers aren't as good about leaving something as good or better than what they take.  That's one truth I have gathered from geocaching.
