June 26, 2012 - When they say you need a 4WD they are NOT KIDDING. We had a
Nissan compact car and made it about 3/4 of the way up but only because
we went V E R Y S L O W L Y. Even so it was scary. When we parked the
GPS showed us to be about 9/10 of a mile away, but because the path was
switchbacked it was probably more like 1.5 miles away. The last part
is a straight up climb that has no path at all. We just followed our
GPS which got us to within 6 feet of the cache. We found it pretty
quickly and took the little stuffed dog (we're suckers for dogs) and
left a little red car. The view at the top is like something out of The
Sound of Music. AMAZING!!!
