Steve with the PRIZE! |
Michael with the puzzle. |
Let me start off by saying:
43 degrees 43.151 N
114 degrees 19.926 W
We copied down the coordinates when we FINALLY found it after about 20 minutes of searching AND using other people's comments to narrow down where it should be. So for anyone else that wants to find it--there you go. We did run into some other cyclists who asked us if we'd lost anything so we told them the whole geocaching story and showed them our find. They were intrigued and I think they may end up trying it themselves! We put in a cool matchbox car and my son was intrigued with the puzzle so that went home with us. All's well that ends well.
This one was WAAAAYYYY off on the coordinates as several people had attested to on geocaching.com. It took us about 1/2 an hour to locate it -- actually Steve found it. I really thought we were going to have to log our first DNF on this one, but perseverance pays off. And yes, this was our first true muggle encounter but we may have made converts out of them!
